Palmarsh Rainbow Garden
Palmarsh Rainbow Garden
We have been so incredibly lucky with the amount of generous donations of garden items that we have been able to use to help create this amazing space for our children.
Members of the public have donated all sorts of things such as seeds, pots, bird feeders, rockery rocks and decorations with parents also donating hand made items, garden slabs and plants.
I applied for a grant and was so very fortunate to be granted £1000! This allowed me to put my vision into reality and create a space for children to have and use. Full details of the Rainbow Garden purpose can be seen in the video.
With a very special thank you to:
Kent Community Foundation - Improving the Lives of Local People - This is where I applied for the grant and they support small charitable organisations. They were extremely helpful and made the whole journey an easy progress.
Jewson Hythe - Builders Merchants Hythe - CT21 6LG kindly donated and delivered 600kg of sharp sand, which allowed us to create the path, making it wheelchair accessible for some of our students.
Folkestone Garden Centre – Grovewell Garden Centres (Folkestone Branch) provided us with a monetary donation and a discount in their stores. They have such a beautiful array of plants and flowers and staff were extremely helpful advising someone with little to no knowledge of gardening!
Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre - Our Locations - Blue Diamond kindly donated many bags of soil, which has been invaluable while planting and potting our variety of plants.
Thank you AJ Bentley for creating and editing our video to enable us to share with you our working progress and the reason behind creating this space for our children.
